Currently we are looking for a qualified individual to work as a SharePoint Product Specialist (Remote Job) with our direct client in Raleigh, NC.

***This is 100% Remote Job***

***The candidate must reside in the United States. If a resident of North Carolina, the candidate must be willing to come to Raleigh at their expense to pick up a laptop. If outside the state of North Carolina, use their personal computer to remote into a workstation. Position is remote with minimal in-person engagement if the candidate is local to the Raleigh area.***

***No computer programming/coding will be performed in this position; however, experience related to SharePoint or other web application development is required***

NCDOT is seeking a SharePoint Product Specialist contractor for the Engineering Content Management group who will be responsible for managing and designing SharePoint and web-based business solutions and related materials.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience as a Business Analyst, Application Trainer or Quality Assurance Analyst
  • Experience as a SharePoint Business Analyst
  • Designing SharePoint and web-based content solutions
  • Demonstrated experience in Quality Assurance testing
  • Working knowledge of NCDOT Permits and District Offices’ business processes
  • SharePoint experience with designing custom Microsoft SharePoint lists, libraries, and content types
  • SharePoint design, testing and/or training experience with Microsoft SharePoint lists, libraries and content types
  • Designing, testing and/or training experience on SharePoint and web-based content management solutions
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to explain business processes to IT users and IT applications to business users
  • Excellent organizational and presentation skills
  • Microsoft Suite experience (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Proven experience evaluating business processes and re-engineering
  • Proven experience writing clear and concise technical training materials and user documentation
  • Working knowledge of application development life cycle
  • Understanding of NCDOT transportation life cycle business processes
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft SharePoint as a designer
  • Experience with SCRUM/Agile development methodology
  • Experience with Azure DevOps

Preferred Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience with AGILE development methodology
  • Demonstrated experience with Azure DevOps tool suite
  • Demonstrated experience with Balsamiq
